You pay for safe roads. You deserve to drive on them. From damaged pavement to dangerous intersections, residents are asking for the basics: safer trips, lasting repairs, and less time stuck in traffic. City Hall must deliver.
Crashes around 20th Avenue have already hurt our neighbors. At Palm Drive, the traffic signal project must move from plans to protection. Residents deserve a firm completion schedule, visible progress, and safer travel through this corridor.
I will push for properly engineered acceleration and deceleration lanes where needed, giving drivers room to slow, turn, and merge safely. Pair those improvements with better lighting, visible crossings, and targeted enforcement. Safety requires more than promises.
Varner Road needs lasting repairs and relief from the bottleneck. I will work with neighboring jurisdictions, press for funding, and demand a public schedule. Residents should know who is responsible and when the work will happen.
Flock says it does not sell customer data. Who verifies that promise? I will demand independent audits and enforceable protections against selling city camera data to insurers or anyone else. Your privacy must never be for sale.
I’m an engineer. I believe in finding the problem, fixing it, and showing the results. Your safety deserves that discipline. This November, vote Edward Boumendil for Desert Hot Springs City Council, District 1. Let’s get moving.
Sincerely,
Edward Boumendil
